Bobby Dolan

I am currently a mathematics PhD Candidate and Teaching Assistant at the University of Connecticut. I am also an adjunct instructor at Central Connecticut State University and Western Connecticut State University. I graduated with a B.A. in mathematics from Western Connecticut State University and earned a M.S. in math from the University of Connecticut in 2016. I am generally interested in numerical methods used to approximate the solutions of ODEs and PDEs. My current research focuses on developing numerical algorithms and coupling methods for atmosphere-ocean interaction. These numerical algorithms and models are based on the equations governing the states of the atmosphere and ocean and are used for applications such as climate research, hurricane modeling and regional weather forecasting.
